Indian Hospitality - Pakistan Blind Cricket Team Captain served with Acid

Pakistan Blind Cricket Team Captain, Zeeshan Abbasi fell victim of "Indian Hospitality", as he was served with Acid from a bottle which was supposed to contain water.

Captain Zeeshan Abbasi, who is leading the country in the Blind Twenty 20 Series underway in Banglore, consumed the Hazardous Liquid from a bottle on his Breakfast Table. Interestingly, the incident happened just a day after Pakistan beat India by eight (8) wickets in the series.

"The Mineral Water Bottles were given to us everyday; the Acid was in one of those bottles," said the Team Manager.

The Manager said that since the entire team is blind, they did not know that there was Acid inside the bottle instead of water.

"How can this be a mistake? How was it on the Breakfast Table?" he inquired.

Chairman Blind Cricket Council Sultan Shah was shocked by the incident and said that such a thing had never happened before.

Why the Acid was placed on his table or who put it there is under investigation, said the Chairman.

Abbasi was shifted to a hospital where he is under treatment he confirmed, adding that they had an argument with the Hotel Management over the incident.

The Hotel Management has assured the Chairman that they will check through CCTV Footage and find the reason behind the incident.

Police lifts siege of MQM London Office as Altaf Sings

London’s Metropolitan Police lifted their two-day long siege of Altaf Hussain's "Business Address", after Altaf Hussin sung his super hit song "Parday Main Rehnay Do, Parda Na Uthao" (پردے میں رہنے دو پردہ نہ اٹھاؤ), told Mustafa Azizabadi, Incharge of the Mutahida Qaumi Movement’s London Secretariat.

The Mutahida Qaumi Movement’s Spokesman in its London Secretariat, Mustafa Azizabadi said he was unaware of any search or raid operation. Asked if the Met Police had raided Altaf’s "Business Address", he said, there is no such thing or operation, they (Met Police) only visited to hear Quaid-e-Tehreek Altaf Hussain Bahi's famous song "Parday Main Rehnay Do, Parda Na Uthao" (پردے میں رہنے دو پردہ نہ اٹھاؤ).

On the other hand, the London Metropolitan Police confirmed that a search and raid operation was carried out at the "Business Address" of Mutahida Qaumi Movement Chief Altaf Hussain. The Press Office of the Metropolitan Police told that the search continued for two consecutive days at the site. However, it was stressed that no arrests had been made, and no person was detained for interrogation.

Saying that Investigations into Dr Farooq’s Murder were ongoing, an Official of the Metropolitan Police told that the raid was conducted on Thursday and the police completed its search on Friday evening.

Furthermore, an eyewitness told that he saw "Armed Police" laying siege to the "Business Address" on Thursday morning as he walked to his work and saw that the two way road outside the "Business Address" has been blocked by officers from the Counter Terror Command Unit. There were three police vans parked outside. It was still dark. The police had sealed the road from both sides and the traffic was being diverted. It was standstill on both sides. I returned to the scene after two hours and saw that the armed police and their vans had moved from outside.

Earlier, Dr Farooq was stabbed to death in Green Lane on Edgware Road on 16th September 2010 – but leads in the case have been few and far between – or at least not publicized. The Anti-Terrorist Unit of the Metropolitan Police said in September that, a few months before his murder, Dr Farooq had been trying to create his own independent political "Profile".

The Police Force had hinted about the possibility that Dr Farooq might have been thinking of embarking on a new Political Career, and, therefore, it wanted to talk to everyone who were in contact with him from a political perspective.

It also noted that Dr Farooq had created a new Facebook Profile in 2010 and had established many new contacts on the social forum.

Sponsorless Asif wins World Snooker Championship

Pakistan's sponsorless and coachless snooker player Muhammad Asif has won the World Snooker Championship.

Muhamamd Asif defeated Gary Wilson of Britain 10-8 in a thrilling Finale of World Snooker Championship. With this victory, Asif becames the second Pakistani to claim the title. Earlier, Mohammad Yousuf had won the championship in 1994 while Saleh Muhamamd lost to Indian Pankaj Advani of India in 2003.

The dark side of society

Every now and then we witness the dark side of our society, where cruelty seems to know no bounds with even fewer regards given to human and especially women rights.

In another such incident at Kitro, Sheikhpura, Punjab, where five teenage peasant girls — the daughters and nieces of a farmer — were gang raped by their employers, local feudals, because the family merely asked them for their wages. They were warned of "Dire Consequences", which resulted in the abduction of girls the same night, followed by the heinous act.

The fact that the peasant family had rightfully earned those wages for hard work rendered on the fields holds little value for the landlords. Such mindsets, especially prevalent in the rural areas, depict the criminality meted out to women for demanding justice for themselves.

This is not the first instance of gang rape and while its repeated occurrence shows the level of illiteracy prevalent amongst men in our society, it also highlights the need to Revamp the System, enforce deterrence though strict God-Given Shari'ah Laws and remove Procedural Loopholes where men can get away after committing such crimes against women.

So, that no one considers rape as a course of action to punish women and deterred from even thinking in this evil manner.

Dr A Q Khan to lead TTP

Father of Pakistan’s Nuclear Bomb, Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan, has become the Head of TTP, as he registered TTP as a political party to contest General Elections expected next year for the first time.

The new Head of Tehreek-e-Tahafuz-e-Pakistan, Dr A Q Khan wants to contest the 2013 Elections and is campaigning for an end to endemic corruption. However, attendance at his public meetings has been sparse and Khan is unlikely to emerge a serious contender at the ballot box despite his popularity and TTP support.

TTP Secretary General Chaudhry Khurshid Zaman said Dr A Q Khan had yet to decide whether to stand himself for Election. He added that as the Chairman, Khan would guide TTP through the campaign.

"The whole country is burning, price hikes, unemployment, the energy crisis, poverty and other heinous problems have made public life miserable", Zaman told.

"Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan has joined this movement to change this face of Pakistan and he is the only hope. All other political parties have failed".

Rohail Akbar, TTP Spokesman, said the party would form an alliance with right-wing parties, but not those in Government.

Disconnecting People

Pakistani Einstein, Interior Minister Dr Rehman Malik has been "Disconnecting People", under the pretext of National Security, by suspending cellular services across the country half a dozen times in a few months.

Although the move didn't help stave off terror incidents, but the blanket bans have unleashed Dr Rehman Malik's brilliance in Counter-Terrorism.

The first instance of cellular service suspension was in Quetta on 23rd March 23 2012, on the request of Balochistan Home Department, and ordered by Interior Minister Rehman Malik.

Since then, mobile services have been suspended in various cities on Eidul Fitr, Independence Day, Love for Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) Day, Eidul Azha, and Ashura.

While the Ministry of Information Technology and Pakistan Telecommunication Authority deal with the suspension, the Interior Ministry is the ultimate authority that orders the move.

The Government uses the legal cover of Section 54(2) of the Pakistan Telecommunications (Re-Organisation) Act, 1996 to ban cellular services. The IT Ministry has notified service suspension in the name of "National Security" under Section 54(2) of the Act which states that "During a war or hostilities against Pakistan by any foreign power or internal aggression or for the defence or security of Pakistan, the Federal Government shall have preference and priority in telecommunication system over any licensee".

However, cellular services can only be suspended by exercising powers described in Section 54(3) of the Act, subject to imposition of emergency in the country by the President.

Section 54(3) states that "Upon proclamation of emergency by the President, the Federal Government may suspend or modify all or any order or licences made or issued under this Act or cause suspension of operation, functions or services of any licensee for such time as it may deem necessary".

The service suspensions in the have been "Irrational", and a violation of the rights of the cellular companies and consumers protected under the Articles 4, 18, 23 and 24 of the Constitution, since the President had not declared a "State of Emergency" on any of the occasions on which cellular services were suspended.

The Telecom Industry reportedly faced damages upwards of Rs one billion due to the suspension. And two months ago, the cellular companies wrote a letter to the Government via the regulator PTA, requesting compensation of Rs one billion (Rs 500 million for each suspension).

The cellular companies have asked the IT Ministry and PTA to compensate for the losses suffered on account of service suspension since subsection 54(3) of the act allows for service suspension, "Provided that the Federal Government may compensate any licensee whose facilities or services are affected by any action under this sub-section".

PTI will keep lying about PML (N) : Javed Hashmi

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s President Javed Hashmi said that his party has never spoken truth about Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) and will continue to lie.

Speaking at a Press Conference in Islamabad, Hashmi said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf will keep propagating "Falsehood" against Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) and will never speak truth until the PML (N) apologizes.

The PTI President further said that Pakistan Peoples Party's Leader Naserullah Babar had already apologized, "After knowing the reality".

Muttahida Qaumi Movement Quaid Altaf Hussain had called on Brits to declare whether they wanted to live in a Britain by the Queen Elizibet or the one that the Quaid-e-Tehreek had envisioned.

Terming the Royal Family the biggest threat, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement announced to hold a countrywide referendum for deciding whether people want Quaid-e-Tehreek's ‘Modern’ Britain or the Queen heredity rule.

Imran persuades Zardari to settle score against Sharifs

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan persuades President Asif Ali Zardari to settle score against Sharif Brothers.

Imran Khan said that after the decision of Supreme Court in Asghar Khan Case, "The President has the lifetime opportunity to take strict action against the Sharif Brothers who had taken money to establish IJI".

"In light of Supreme Court’s verdict, investigation should be launched against those who had taken money from secret agencies so that malign, corrupted elements could be eliminated," Imran said in a statement.

The PTI Chief said that it has been proved that money was given to establish IJI and it is also "Clear that so-called politicians had received the amount".

He said that the government should implement decision of the Supreme Court "At once" and disqualify those people who had received money.

"Today, corruption is common in all over the country. Punjab has become defaulter because of corruption and worst performance of its leaders," Imran said.

"President Zardari should take strict action against these people so that no body could dare to change the decision of public in the future," he said. "Corrupt Sharif brothers should not only be disqualified, they should also be held accountable," the PTI Chief said.

Swat to be renamed as Malalistan

Swat Valley is to be named after Teenage Chronicler Malala Yousafzai by the Khyber-Pakhtunkhuwa Government. It will be called "Malalistan", thus becoming the first region to be named after a woman.

Many women in the valley welcomed the decision and uttered many words of appreciation. "Finally the Government has realized that a region should be named after a female. The move does not only honour Malala, but all the girls of Khyber-Pakhtunkhuwa,” said Sumaira.

"Malala is the daughter of this land, an upholder of girls’ rights and an activist who fights for the education of girls. There is no joy greater than that of living in Malaistan," said Neelam.

Girls from Swat expressed great pride over the fact that Malala belonged to their land. However, happiness over the Government’s decision to rename Swat was mingled with surprise.

Imran proves Waziristan as most dangerous

Amid fear of life, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan's decision to call-off his party’s Peace Rally halfway before reaching Waziristan for protesting against US Drone Strikes has proved that Waziristan is the most dangerous area in the World, and is actually a Safe Heaven of Militants where only Drones can be used as a successful tool to target the miscreants.

Imran Khan said that turning back from the Waziristan border was not a failure as he himself did not want the participants to be in the area at night.

PTI has been boasting that holding a rally to South Waziristan to Campaign against Drone Strikes was an independent decision of Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. But its return halfway without entering the troubled region on the dictates of the Military, responsible for law and order there, was sufficient to doubt the party’s independence in decision making.

The PTI overran all blockades erected by the Civil Government on its way to Tank, where it ultimately gathered after being sent back by the Military establishment in the region. It said the rally was meant to spread the message of peace not to confront the law enforcement agencies.

The PTI’s double standards speak volume of its not paying heed to the Civil Administration asking it not to hold the rally in the Militant Heaven first place and then go beyond Dera Ismail Khan, but it acted only on the advice of the Military Administration to return so as to save participants from any Terrorist Attack.

The rally may be a success by the PTI’s standards in terms of attracting thousands of party workers along with national and international media broadcasting and reporting each and every movement. However, its return halfway re-established the fact that Pakistan has no control over the area, which is actually a bastion of Militants and where Drones are being used as a successful tool to target the outlaws who had taken refuge there after being pushed out of Afghanistan by the International Forces.

The argument that at least some political force in the country dared to question the Drone Attacks emphatically seems hilarious when it returned without meeting the victims or listening to their agony for being the inhabitants of an area in turmoil.

One wonders about the very rationale behind this Peace March. If it is being done to register protest against Drone Strikes, then one must bear in mind that in the last seven years, there were a total of 223 attacks in North Waziristan, while South Waziristan was targeted 76 times. Thus, the main target of drones is North Waziristan. Even this year, North Waziristan was targeted thirty two (32) times as opposed to South Waziristan, which experienced four (4) such attacks. If the idea is to reach the most affected area, then that is North Waziristan. And if the idea is to protest effectively against Drone attacks, then why risk the lives of a party leader and his supporters, while making things even more difficult for the already-overburdened security forces in the area.

The campaign turned out to be an attempt to befool the people of Pakistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in general and two Waziristans in particular, when it deliberately spared the Military Establishment and the Militants the whole saga that has culminated to the point of the use of Drones – said to be the most advanced tool in modern warfare across the globe.

Malala - The Brave Chronicler

Malala Yousufzai, a brave young girl, who during Taliban's Occupation of Swat chronicled her struggles to protect her homeland from being pushed to stone-age, was shot at by Unknown Gunmen. The Taliban have accepted responsibility for this attack, even giving a laundry list of justifications for targeting a child.

جدا ہو دیں سیاست سے تو رہ جاتی ہے چنگیزی

Alike the Afghan Queen Malalai of Maiwand, a Pashtun poet and warrior woman, who routed the British in the Second Anglo-Afghan war in 1878, 14-year old Malala Yousafzai achieved a similar feat. Her resilience and courage helped rout the mindset that opposed Female Education in the Swat Valley.

Malala rose to international fame for chronicling the plight of children for the BBC under the penname Gul Makai, during the Taliban Insurgency years.

"In 2008, when the Taliban imposed a ban on girls’ education in Swat, I floated an idea to publish a diary from any schoolgirl in Swat, to lend a human touch to the tragedy", said Abdul Hai Kakar, a former BBC Urdu journalist in Peshawar.

"I contacted her father, Ziauddin, to find a girl who could write the diary for the BBC but he could not find anyone – everyone was afraid", Kakar said.

“Ziauddin offered that his daughter can write, under her real name, but I gave her a pseudonym Gul Makai, for security reasons", he added.

The Blog, starting in late 2008, was published weekly.

"I had a terrible dream yesterday with military helicopters and the Taliban. I have had such dreams since the launch of the military operation in Swat. My mother made me breakfast and I went off to school. I was afraid going to school because the Taliban had issued an edict banning all girls from attending schools", Gul Makai writes on January 3, 2009.

In November 2011, Malala was nominated for International Children Peace Prize by Dutch organisation KidsRights. She did not receive the award, but the government of Pakistan decided to acknowledge her efforts, and awarded her the first-ever national Peace Award. The award was also named after her.

Once recalling the Swat Nightmare Malala said "Taliban were pushing Swat back to the stone age with attacks on female education".

Dark Caribbean Wind is blowing again

The Legendary Dark Caribbean Wind has started to blow again, as West Indies has blown away Sri Lank in the World T20 Finale at Columbo. This is the first World Title for Windies since 1979 and their first ICC Title since 2004.

West Indies' First World Twenty20 win has stunned the home crowd, as they pulled off one of the most amazing turnarounds in Twenty20 history, especially given the stage. Marlon Samuels played simply the best Twenty20 International Innings ever seen when West Indies were down and almost out.

West Indies had been 14 for 1 after Power Plays and 32 for 2 after 10 overs, the fourth-worst scores at these points in the history of Twenty20 Internationals. They even took 17 balls to score the first run off the bat. Yet so breathtaking was Samuels' assault, never mind the wickets falling around him, that Sri Lanka were too stunned to respond.

Regret - Why did Afridi took back his retirement?

Nation regrets Pakistan's All-Rounder Shahid Khan Afridi's decision to take back his retirement from International Cricket for a third time.

After Shahid Afridi's worst performance in World T20 Semi-Final against Sri Lanka, the Nation is seriously regretting that why did Afridi took back his retirement from International Cricket for a third time, which he announced to protest the working of the Pakistan Cricket Board.

Now Afridi has come under severe criticism following his dismal performance in the ICC World Twenty20 in Sri Lanka with some former players calling on the veteran All-Rounder to retire from International Cricket with immediate effect.

Once the darling of crowds and one of the most commercially viable figures in Pakistan, Afridi has turned from into a villain from hero following his disappointing show in the World Twenty20 where he manage just 30 runs with the bat and scalped four wickets.

In the past Afridi had announced his retirement on a number of occasions. First, in 2006, he decided to take a temporary sabbatical from Test Cricket to concentrate on ODIs. Then in 2010, he announced his Test retirement after Pakistan lost the first Test against Australia at Lord's. A year later he announced a "Conditional" retirement from international cricket to protest against the way he was "Humiliated" by the PCB, who had stripped him of his ODI captaincy.

Hafeez starts where Misbah ends

Pakistan T20 Captain Hafeez seems to be the next generation of Misbah, as he played yet another horrible innings to get Pakistan knocked out from Word T20, when it really mattered.

Earlier Hafeez came back from yet another horribly slow start to his innings, but fell on 42 with some way to go for Pakistan.

Sangakkara stumped Hafeez off a grubber with 48 to defend in 35 balls. Hafeez, who had just opened up with an extra-cover drive, a reverse-swept four and a punch through covers, was this close to making this his own night, but it was to be Sri Lanka's, who won their first Twenty20 International at R Premadasa Stadium.

No doubt, Hafeez starts and Misbah ends with English Alphabet "H".

Was it a Semi Final or Sami Final?

Some precise bowling from Sri Lanka helped them usher a Woefully Sami-ish Pakistan out of the World T20 Tournament, as it again proved that Muhammad Sami's presense is in the squad always results in getting Sami-Style Hammering in the Semi-Final of a World Tournament.

Pakistan, who started off slow and steady, trying to keep wickets in hand were left ruing their conservative approach as they sought to score a 23 runs off the final six balls.

Sri Lanka will now face either Australia or West Indies in the Final.

Girls show Boys how to win against India

Pakistani Girls show Boys how to win against India in a Global Tournament, as the Pakistan Women Team defeated India in Women World T20.

Pakistan chose to bat but only three players made double figures. Sana Mir with 26 and Nain Abidi's 25 had laid a platform at the top of the order but their failure to go on exposed the rest of the order, of whom Asmavia Iqbal with 10 was the top score. Rasanara Parween returned the best figures, going for just 15 in her fours overs and picking up the wickets of Mir and Bismah Maroof for 3.

India also struggled for a significant contribution with the bat but Jhulan Goswami looked to be guiding them home. But when she fell for a 24-ball 21, 16 were needed from 10 balls which became 14 from the last over. Niranjana struck the first ball for four and worked a target of four off the final ball but it proved just beyond them.

Earlier, India completed Hat-Trick of victories against Pakistan in Mens World T20 Tournaments, as they beat Pakistan by eight wickets in their Group Two World Cup Twenty20 Super Eight Match at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

Hat-Trick of defeats against India in World T20

India completed Hat-Trick of victories against Pakistan in World T20 Tournaments, as they beat Pakistan by eight wickets in their Group Two World Cup Twenty20 Super Eight Match at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

This was a game where one of two jinxes would be survived. It was India, who posted their First Super Eights win in World Twenty20s since 2007. Pakistan are still without a win over India in any World Cup Match. Pakistan were every bit a team with a bogey attached to them. They tried flamboyance with the bat and failed, and didn't show heart to back up their talented bowling. India, on the other hand, did the small things well after a nervous start, and were there to accept every opportunity that Pakistan presented.

Sixer Clouds reached Columbo from Dubai

It rained sixes in Columbo, as the Sixer Clouds, Watson & Warner, have reached the Lankan Metropolis from Dubai across the Arabian Sea.

Australia defeated India by nine wickets in a Group Two Super Eights Match of the World Twenty20 in Colombo. The Australians raced past the modest target of 141 in the fifteenth (15) over at the Premadasa stadium.

Shane Watson had made 72 from 42 deliveries and struck seven (7) sixes. He cleared the boundary straight down the ground, over midwicket and over square leg. A pair of enormous consecutive sixes pulled over midwicket off Irfan Pathan showed Watson's power.

David Warner remained unbeaten on an equally entertaining 63 from 42 deliveries and muscled three (3) sixes of his own, including two in a row off Harbhajan Singh, whose two overs cost twenty (20) runs. Rare though it may be, Warner was the quiet partner.

Observe Youm-e-Ishq-e-Rasool (S.A.W) in Stone-age : Rehman Malik

Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik has asked the nation to observe Youm-e-Ishq-e-Rasool (S.A.W), to protest against the Profane Film, in Stone-age. And directed Interior Ministry to disconnect Cellular Phone Service of some sensitive regions to maintain Law and Order situation in the country, as millions will hit the streets to condemn an Anti-Islam Film.

Rehman Malik was of the opinion that it will also provide necessary munition for street-fights during the protests.

After receiving Interior Ministry directions the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), has blocked Cellular Coverage in Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Quetta, Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, Jhang, Rhimyar Khan, Attock, Murree, Chakwal, Chakri, and Kot Momin.

Previously, the Government had blocked the service during the Eid-ul-Fitr in a bid to keep any probable acts of terrorism at bay.

"Army and Rangers have been called for the security in Islamabad" said Interior Minister Rehman Malik.

"The move aims to protect Foreign Missions, particularly the US Embassy in Islamabad" a Spokesperson of Interior Ministry quoted Malik as saying.

Waziristan is Waziristan, whether North or South : Imran Khan

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan has said that "Waziristan is Waziristan, whether North or South" (Urdu: وزیرستان وزیرستان ہوتا ہے، چاہے شمالی ہو یا جنوبی ہو) (Roman Urdu: Waziristan Waziristan hota hay, chahay Shumali ho ya Janubi ho). He announced his change of plan for a march towards already peaceful South Waziristan, instead of war-torn North Waziristan, in October.

Addressing a Press Conference, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan announced that the PTI along with hundred-thousand (100,000) people will march towards South Waziristan on 6th October.

Earlier in July, Imran Khan announced he was planning to lead thousands of people in a march to North Waziristan on 23th September to protest against US Drone Strikes. His Party Spokesman said they would take a hundred-thousand (100,000) strong rally to the Tribal Region, and that US and British anti-war and human rights campaigners, reporters and politicians were also likely to attend the march. "The rally will start from Bannu, a District of Khyber-Pakhtunkhuwa, and conclude near Mir Ali, a Tehsil of North Waziristan, with a historic speech by Imran Khan", said Dost Muhammad Mehsud, a Former Bureaucrat and a close aide of the PTI Chief.

Ajmal not shortlisted for being "Too Short"

The International Cricket Council has come up with an idiotic reason for overlooking Pakistani Off-Spinner Saeed Ajmal for a nomination of Test Cricketer of the Year Award and announced that Ajmal missed shortlisting because he is "Too Short". Strange!

Earlier, Pakistan Cricket Board lodged a protest with Cricket's Governing Body over the exclusion of Off-Spinner Saeed Ajmal from the shortlist of an Annual ICC Award, despite being Test Cricket's leading wicket-taker in the period under consideration.

The Cricket's Governing Body has admitted that the real reason why diminutive Pakistan Spinner Saeed Ajmal was overlooked for a Test Cricketer of the Year nomination was because they couldn't see him. "When we were scanning the room for potential candidates, we unfortunately didn't see him standing there", said ICC Chief Executive Officer Dave Richardson. "Apparently Ajmal was right in front of us but we missed him because he was, well, below our field of vision. All we saw were some of the bigger lads at the back". Richardson agreed that the situation wasn't helped any by the fact that the selections were being made for a shortlist and we prepared a list of tall players.

Graeme Swann was omitted from a shortlist in 2010 but was later included after England put up his case. South Africa also objected to the omission of their players and boycotted the 2009 ceremony held in Johannesburg.

Despite his omission from the award shortlist, Ajmal's name has been included in ICC's Best Test Team of the Year.

Pakistan escaped defeat of more than 100 runs

Pakistan escaped psychological defeat of more than 100 runs, as Australia crushed them out by 94 runs in the Third Twenty20 International at Dubai.

Australia began the series with one of their Worst Twenty20 Losses but they finished it with their Second-Best Win in the format, crushing Pakistan by 94 runs in the dead rubber in Dubai. David Warner and Shane Watson set up the victory with an Australian-Record Opening Partnership before Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc ran through Pakistan, who suffered their worst defeat in a Twenty20 international and were all out for 74, their lowest total in the format.

The suicidal Waziristan War

He was not a warlord or a military commander, he was an ordinary man from a small village in North Waziristan who, on a matter of much lower importance than what is happening to the region and the religion now, took up arms against the British. The dominant Imperial Power of the time deployed more than fifty thousand (50,000) troops against him and the Royal Air Force carried out ruthless bombardment against him. But it could neither kill Haji Mirza Ali Khan, the famous Faqir of Ipi, nor pacify troubled Waziristan until Britain’s departure from the Indian subcontinent.

Let our forces not make the same mistake by launching a full-scale military operation in North Waziristan because a small incident, by design or default, will spark a massive reaction and in no time make the entire population raise arms against their own Army. Were that to happen, and no one wishes it will, Waziristan will become a territory impossible to control.

The mistake of mistreating and misunderstanding Waziristan cannot and should not be overlooked in the assessment of the situation in that region. Except for the Wazir area in North Waziristan, military operations have either taken place in the rest of the tribal agencies or are underway, but militancy still remains a threat. Why it has not been eliminated is a question that everyone asks.

Many believe it has something to do with our policy, which is why militancy is taking so long to decline. One argument in support of this contention is that those in powerful positions have some hidden agenda, or else how could foreign elements prosper and be allowed to grow that strong as to become a threat to us. The fault lies somewhere else. As the saying goes, "It is not the gun that matters but the man behind the gun".

So it is not the army that is at fault but the policy that they follow in this fight.

Razzaq's last laughs over Cummins

Twice in the span of three overs, Pakistani All-rounder Abdul Razzaq enjoyed the last laugh over Australian Pacer Pat Cummins, as the former saw his side through with both bat and ball during the course of Second Twenty20 International at Dubai.

Just a couple of days after being routed for eighty nine (89) on the way to a seven (7) wicket hiding, Australia scrapped to an enthralling tie. They owed much to the Captain George Bailey, who compiled the most critical and substantial innings of his T20 Career to date. Ten (10) were required off the final over, bowled by Razzaq, and Pakistan were expectant when Bailey fell. Cummins conjured a stunning six from the penultimate ball to level the scores, before miscuing the final delivery for a simple catch to force the use of the Super Over.

But it would be Pakistan's Players who were to be jubilant after the extra deliveries were completed. Umar Gul conceded only one boundary in his Super Over while claiming David Warner's wicket, and the 11 runs Pat Cummins had to defend were to prove too few, the teenager delivering a motley collection of short balls that betrayed the draining effect of the contest and offered meat and drink to Umar Akmal and Abdul Razzaq. It was unfair that Cummins be left the loser, for it was he who struck a mighty six to tie the match up.

Muhammad Hafeez's Team celebrated their victory in the minutes after midnight in Dubai, yet George Bailey's Australians could also take solace from a much-improved display.

Unfortunate Nation lead by Kazib Imams

Pakistan is such an unfortunate nation that even its Clerics & Prayer Leaders commit Blasphemy of the Holy Quran, i.e. just for fabricating evidence against an accused. As a Cleric, Khalid Judoon Chishti accused by a witness, another fellow Cleric, of adding pages from the Quran to ashes seized from fourteen (14) year old Rimsha Masih to implicate her.

قوم کیا ہے قوم کی امامت کیا ہے
اس کو کیا سمجھیں یہ فقط دو رکعت کے امام

Hafiz Muhammad Zubair, who witnessed Khalid Jadoon adding pages of the Quran, recorded a statement with the Rawalpindi Magistrate.

According to Hafiz Zubair’s account, he was sitting in Iteqaaf in the Mosque when some people handed burnt pages to the Prayer Leader. After a little while, Khalid Jadoon added additional pages of the Quran to the pile.

Hafiz Zubair, in his statement added that three other people present with him in the Mosque asked Khalid Jadoon why he was adding documents to the pile of burnt paper, to which prayer leader said that such an act was necessary to strengthen their case.

Police have arrested Khalid Jadoon on charges of fabricating evidence, which he had used to accuse Rimsha Masih of committing Blasphemy by allegedly burning Quranic pages.

At last, Akram beats Akhtar in Cricket

At last, Former Pakistan Paceman Muhammad Akram has beaten fellow Former Pakistan Paceman Shoaib Akhtar in a Cricket Rivalry, as Muhamamd Akram has been named Pakistan's Bowling Coach for a probationary period of one year. He will join the squad in the United Arab Emirates for the Series against Australia, announced PCB.

Pakistan Cricket Board set up a Three-man Committee to find a suitable candidate and the committee has nominated Muhammad Akram as Pakistan's Bowling Coach.

"After a lengthy deliberation we have decided to appoint Mohammad Akram as Pakistan Bowling Coach," Intikhab Alam said. "Stuart Barnes of England was also shortlisted but unfortunately Barnes was not available immediately and we found Akram more suitable for the role."

Earlier, Shoaib Akhtar threw his hat into the ring to become Pakistan’s Bowling Coach and said "I am ready to be the bowling coach for Pakistan. If the PCB contacts me then I will offer my services".

Pakistan was without a bowling coach since the former fast bowler Aaqib Javed resigned to be UAE's Head Coach after the Series against England last year.

Kamra Base Attackers were wearing Stealth Coats : PAF

Kamra Base Attackers were not visible to Human Eye as they were wearing Stealth Coats, claimed a preliminary Investigation Report on the 16th August attack on Pakistan Air Force’s Kamra Air Base. Moreover, the Attackers only had Satellite Guidance and "No Insider Help".

According to the Report compiled by five-member Inquiry Committee, headed by Air Marshall Akhtar Hussain Bukhari, the Weapons used by the Attackers were of Russian Origin and they used five (5) Hand Grenades and fire three (3) Rocket Propelled Grenades in the attack.

During inspections, investigators also collected two hundred twenty three (223) spent casings of AK-47 Rifles used by the assailants in the attack.

Air Marshal Bukhari also said, "Had the Attackers not wearing Stealth Coats our guards would have killed them like sitting ducks".

The Air Base is home to the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex that assembles Mirage and, with Chinese support, JF-17 Fighter Jets. It has previously come under attack twice, once in 2007 and then in 2009.

Successful Sheikh joins Revolutionary Khan

Successful Politician, Sheikh Rasheed, and Symbol of Revolution, Imran Khan, have agreed to form an Electoral Alliance and to Work Collectively.

بدلتا ہے آسمان رنگ کیسے کیسے

The agreement was reached during a meeting between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan and Awami Muslim League Leader Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed at former’s Bani Gala Residence.

According to the agreement, the two parties will not field candidates against each other and will instead support each others’ candidate.

Imran Khan will announce the Electoral Alliance of PTI and AML during the Sheikh Rasheed’s public gathering, scheduled to be held in Liaquat Bagh on 13th August. And both the Leaders will hold another meeting before the Liaquat Bagh public gathering.

Imran Khan makes tall claims about being different and that is his claim to fame. But look at the faces he has collected around him. Are they different? In a few days time he will be rubbing shoulders with Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed. Is Sheikh Rasheed anyone’s idea of being different?

Shaukat Khanum Funds - Investor guaranteed to bear the loss : Imran Khan

Founder of Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman, Imran Khan has clarified the accusations against the Hospital and said the "Bluechip Company has  guaranteed us that they will bear the loss and we will get the profit. Our party’s (PTI's) Senior Leader will read out the Email to you".

However, Imran did not provide detail about this rather late and unusual guarantee. And what party's Senior Leader has to do with the Email?

Earlier, Khawaja Asif of Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) leveled allegation against Imran Khan and said that a total of $4.5 Million were invested abroad, which was "In fact the money gained from Sadqaat, Fitrana and Zakat… This was the money of the Pakistani Nation which went abroad".

"In British Virgin Islands, a Shell Company was first registered. That company transferred money into a company, HBG in Dubai, then HBG bought shares of Sugarland Company worth $3 Million. During 2009-2010, Sugarland declared losses and in the coming two years, it faced 64% losses. Here, the money of Shaukat Khanum invested by Imran Khan also faced a loss but it was not shown", Asif said while referring to the documents he had distributed.

Khawaja Asif questioned Khan that if the investment was so safe and profitable, then why did he not put in his own money rather than that of Shaukat Khanum. "This is not a Scandal of the PTI, this was a play of Shaukat Khanum’s money… Shaukat Khanum has not published its Balance Sheets, the last one available is from 2010, which we have provided to you".

Interestingly, a year ago, Imran Khan had contrasting views, as he said "The Shaukat Khanum funds are not spent on buying properties and building businesses in London, France and elsewhere in the world. They are, instead, meant for free treatment of people, thousands of whom have been cured of cancer," while he was in London to launch his book "Pakistan: A Personal History".

Questioning the matter Senior Analyst Dr Farrukh Saleem asked "If Shaukat Khanum or Imran Khan sent Pakistani money abroad without authorization from State Bank or ECC, it would be unlawful!".

Imagine Zardari opening Benazir Welfare Hospital, and the board of directors of the hospital investing the donation money through an unknown offshore company owned by one of it’s own members which results in huge losses. And imagine all this happening without any due process (Bank Guarantee). What would have happened with Zardari by now on media and internet?

When even valid questions are left unanswered and people blindly start chasing the person who puts them, it’s a sign that Tsunami is knocking at the door steps. Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital may be the best thing that ever happened in the world, it doesn't mean people running it cannot be questioned?

But off course, in this Time of Revolution, there hasn’t been a better time to hold the silence.

Water becomes life for vehicles

Water is life and running a car with water as a fuel has always been a longed-for dream in the modern economy. A Pakistani Engineer, Agha Waqar Ahmed claims that he has succeeded in running a car with Distilled Water as a Fuel.

Agha Waqar claims to be working on his project for the past three (3) years. His Water Kit has been running successfully for more than a year now. The Water Kit he and his coworkers have made is a small device attached in the car that separates the hydrogen from water and supplies it to the engine.

Ministry of Science and Technology has been asked to
  1. Step in and conduct a fact-finding exercise
  2. Evaluate the feasibility in question
  3. Take the responsibility either to reject the concept on Technical Grounds or accept the innovation on Economic Grounds
  4. Initiate the modality to move forward with mass production on a commercial basis.
Pakistan Science Foundation Chairman Dr Manzoor Hussain Soomro, said, "This is an extraordinary breakthrough and we should examine it carefully as the system may have national and international importance".

However, he said that thorough testing is needed to validate the invention. Many important inventions through time have been made by non-scientists and the team’s work should not be arbitrarily ruled out, he added.

Moreover, Former Higher Education Commission Head Dr Attaur Rehman rubbished Waqar’s claim that a 1,000CC vehicle will get 40 kilometres per litre of water, and said these statements could only be made in Pakistan. "In countries where scientific research is taken seriously, nobody would pretend to joke about science in this manner".

Dr Attaur Rehman said that the "Self-Proclaimed Inventor" did not have knowledge about basic processes like electrolysis.

"This is the first mistake he is making and he does not even know that you can’t even get electrolysis on distilled water," he said, "For this purpose you have to have an electrolyte [a solution that conducts electricity] which can be decomposed by electrolysis".

He explained that a powerful energy source, which could only be a battery in this case, is required to separate water into hydrogen and oxygen and then recombine them through combustion to release energy. But firstly, the energy which is required to separate hydrogen and oxygen will always be greater in amount than the energy released and secondly, the external energy source will eventually die out to fail the process since the efficiency of electrolysis in hardly twenty percent (20%) to thirty percent (30%).

He added that if this were not the case than this man has invented a "Perpetual Motion Machine" which again, according to a scientific consensus, is impossible. "What this man is proposing is scientifically impossible; he is defying the first law of thermodynamics," he added.
