Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has rejoined federal cabinet. Talking to media MQM leader Farooq Sattar said "The stability of the country is dear to us and everybody knows that the country can not survive unless revenue is generated by setting a reasonable lower limit on petroleum products. Now the government has accepted our demand and hiked the petroleum price to above 100 Rs. per liter, therefore in the larger interest of the country we are rejoining the federal cabinet."
He said that "MQM has decided to rejoin the federal cabinet after the assurance given by President Zardari, Prime Minister Gilani and Interior minister Rehman Malik to meet our longstanding demands regarding the fare pricing of petroleum products."
Meanwhile Rehaman Malik has said "I salute to MQM chief Altaf Hussain, who stood by president in difficult times, and helped us in generating revenue."
