Pakistan Muslim League-N Chief Nawaz Sharif has said Osama bin Laden's sad demise is a big loss for democratic forces in Pakistan.
Nawaz Sharif said "Osama bin Laden was a devote muslim and a true supporter of democracy. I met him several times for strengthening democracy in Pakistan and found him very generous. Osama's friendship and love for Pakistan was beyond limits. He cared a lot for the people of Pakistan and during my second tenure, he gifted a Dialysis Machine to Military Hospital Rawalpindi. But unfortunately he was not able to take benefit from that machine, and died of a kidney failure... Pakistan has indeed lost a true friend."
He further said that "Osama bin Laden spoke publicly against the non-democratic policies of Saudi government, for which the Saudis banished him. Isn't this democracy?"
