Aviation Fuel gets Cheap, NATO Supplies resumed through Air

US Ambassador to Pakistan Cameron Munter has said that Aviation Fuel has got cheaper than Diesel Fuel and as a result NATO Supplies have resumed through Pakistani Airspace.

When asked if it were true that despite the blockade of road routes for NATO Supplies for Forces stationed in Afghanistan, Pakistan’s Airspace was being used to provide for them, Munter acknowledged and said, "You are right".

The NATO Supply Routes were blocked following outrage in Pakistan after the 26th November Salala Outpost Attack, in which twenty-six (26) Pakistani Soldiers raised Martyrdom in NATO Shelling. The US was also made to vacate Shamsi Airbase, which was being used for Drone Strikes in Pakistan.
