President enjoys immunity against PTI's Wrath

Legal and Constitutional Experts are divided on whether the President of Pakistan enjoys immunity against Criminal Proceedings as the "Memogate" landed in the Supreme Court. However, there is a unanimous view among the Experts that President of Pakistan surely enjoys immunity against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's Wrath.

May it be President General Pervaiz Musharraf or President Asif Ali Zardari; Imran Khan's PTI has never been harsh against them, in fact Tehreek (PTI) was one of the main supporting parties of Former President Musharraf's infamous Presidential Referendum. Moreover, PTI has always kept its lips tight, when it comes to trying Musharraf on High Treason under Article 6 for subverting the constitution twice (Once with the support of PTI tough).

And later on when President Zardari took charge, PTI remained distant from any rivaliary with the President (again), and they have mostly remained silent on his Mega Corruption Scandals.

Asked to comment on the Constitutional Position vis-à-vis Immunity to the President, Barrister Hamid Khan, a Senior Leader of PTI, said inter-alia the act of the accused, whosoever he is, is bordering on high treason, adding that the President may enjoy Blanket Immunity.

On the question of whether the President also enjoys immunity against PTI's Wrath, Hamid Khan said the GHQ can determine parameters and modalities. "PTI is in no position to take on the President," he added.
