Gaddafi, who called his opponents rats, killed like a rat

Colonel Muammar Gaddafi, who called his opponents rats, was "killed like a rat" during a final rebel attack on his birthplace, Sirte.

The toppled Libyan leader was captured from a drainage and was badly wounded in both legs and shot in the head as rebels backed by NATO attacked a convoy fleeing the coastal town of Sirte, it was claimed.

Gaddafi was dragged out of the sewage pipeline was taken beaten up mercilessly and ultimately shot to death although some voice could be heard advising not kill him - finally ending the last remnants of his fourty two (42) year hold on Libya.

Libyan National Transitional Council (NTC) official Abdel Majid Mlegta said Gaddafi was captured and wounded in both legs at dawn today as he tried to flee in a convoy which NATO warplanes attacked.

Update 25th October: Libyan National Transitional Council buried Former Dictator Muammar Gaddafi at an unknown location at dawn today.
