Musharraf is wanted; not for high treason but for not providing security to Benazir

An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Rawalpindi has issued non-bailable arrest warrant against former President General (Retired) Pervaiz Musharraf in Benazir Bhutto’s  murder case. 

It should however be mentioned that Pervaiz Musharraf who abrogated and subverted the Constitution of Pakistan multiple times has never been charged or trailed in accordance with the High Treason Punishment Act, as well as under Article 6 of the Constitution. 

In the proceedings of BB murder case, the petitioner told the court that even after being summoned and proclaimed as offender, Musharraf did not appear in the court, therefore, the court should give orders to confiscate his property.

While taking notice, the ATC issued permanent non-bailable arrest warrant against former president and ordered to submit details of his movable and immovable property in the court.
