Shabaz's Security for Mansoor Ejaz is Contempt of Court : Rehman Malik

Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik has termed Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s remarks about providing Security to Mansoor Ejaz as "Contempt of Court".

Rehman Malik said that "I will file a request for a Contempt of Court notice against the Chief Minister (Punjab)".

Earlier, Shabaz Sharif offered Mansoor Ejaz full security in Punjab and said that he will take personal responsibility of providing complete security to Mansoor Ejaz during his visit to Punjab (Pakistan).

He said that he will welcome Mansoor Ejaz and will provide him security till the last moment he is in Punjab (Pakistan), and also offered the Judicial Commission probing the Memogate Scandal to come to the province to record Ejaz’s statements.

It seems Rehman Malik is not aware of the definition of Contempt of Court. Someone needs to educate him that ridiculating Superior Judiciary in Babar Awan style or disobeying Superior Judiciary in Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani style is called Contempt of Court.

Veena Malik - Future Deputy Chairman of Senate

The Pakistani Senators have decided that Veena Malik shall be made the Deputy Chairman of Senate. Because only her presence in Senate could make the Prime Minister and the Federal Ministers to attend the Senate proceedings.

Speaking on the floor of Senate, Mushahidullah Khan regretted that although the Deputy Chairman Senate put to use all "Tactics", neither the Prime Minister nor Federal Ministers came to attend the Senate proceedings"

He said now only one last option was left to be tried, i.e. "Lets, bring Veena Malik from India and make her a Senator or a Deputy Chairman... and perhaps then the Ministers might show up."

On this, Deputy Chairman Senate Jan Jamali added "A more sizzling thing be made the Prime Minister."

Mushahidullah further said "Veena Malik has disclosed all her assets, and it is now the responsibility of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf to accommodate her for a Party Ticket in future."

Petition League draging Imran Khan in Asghar Khan's Petition

The Petition League (Pakistan Muslim League) is trying to drag Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan in Asghar Khan's Petition, as Supreme Court has announced to take up decade-old Case regarding the role of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) in politics.

The Petition League asked the Court to not overlook the Agency’s political role at present, as well as during General Pervaiz Musharraf's regime, when Imran Khan used to visit Army House regularly.

Senior Leader of Petition League and Opposition Leader in National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said, "It would be a Mockery of Justice if the matter is not looked into by the Court,", in what appeared to be a thinly veiled reference to the much talked about emergence of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf.

Earlier, Nisar claimed that he had evidence to substantiate his allegations that Agencies were using parties like the PTI to undermine the League.

In 1996 a petition was filed by Air Marshal (Retired) Asghar Khan in the Supreme Court of Pakistan (HRC 19/96) against the Chief Of Army Staff (Retired) General Mirza Muhammad Aslam Beg, the Former Inter Services Intelligence Chief Lieutenant General (Retired) Asad Durrani and Younis Habib of Habib Bank and Mehran Bank, relating to the disbursement of Public Money and its misuse for "Political Purposes".

People cannot be fooled for long : Imran Khan

Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan has said people cannot be fooled for long, as he wants to get his hands on the Premiership before its too "Long".

Addressing a PTI Gathering at Bhalwal, Imran Khan quoted Former US President Abraham Lincoln "You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time".

Imran Khan, do you think the people of Pakistan are such a fool that they will believe in your Revolution of Corrupt?

Pakistani Secret Agency starve Citizen to death

A Pakistani Secret Agency under the control of Pakistan Army has Starved a Pakistani Citizen to death, after kidnapping him along with eleven (11) other Prisoners from Adiala Jail Rawalpindi couple of years ago. Before their abduction, all the abducted persons were released from their cases by Court.

Abdul Sabour, one of eleven (11) Prisoners abducted by Intelligence Agencies from Adiala Jail in November 2010 was found dead near Haji Camp Peshawar. His Funeral was held in Kohat. However, he looked like a mere collection of bones.

Three other Prisoners abducted by Intelligence Agencies in the same batch met the same fate and their bodies were too found in Peshawar last month.

Update 25th January: The Supreme Court has issued notices to the Chiefs of Inter-Services Intelligence and Military Intelligence agencies to explain the circumstances leading to the deaths of four men at the hands of these agencies.

Zardari enjoys full Immunity; Musharraf had not: Atizaz Ashan

Pakistan Peoples Party's Legal Brain, Barrister Chaudhry Atizaz Ahsan said President Asif Zardari enjoyed Immunity under Article 248 of the Constitution, while Former President General Pervaiz Musharraf had no Immunity under the same Article. Therefore there is no need to write a Letter to the Swiss Authorities regarding the opening of Cases against President Zardari.

However, Atizaz was not able to answer why the President enjoys Immunity in Cases filed prior to the start of his tenure?

Atizaz Ashan sketched a Hypothetical Scenario and said the Supreme Court had a responsibility not to insist on writing a Letter that would eventually be dismissed in Switzerland. "The grounds on which the Swiss Authorities will reject the Letter could be that the President has Immunity in Switzerland too," he said. He said that President Zardari enjoyed Immunity in Switzerland under the Vienna Convention until he was holding the seat of the President, "so it will be useless to right any letter to the Swiss Authorities".

Atizaz further said "If the Judges ask me about my previous statements regarding Immunity to Former President Pervaiz Musharraf, I will try to convince them that Musharraf had no Immunity because a Civil Suit had been filed against him… President Zardari, on the other hand, faces Criminal Cases in which he enjoys complete Immunity until he’s holding the President’s Office".

Lonely Crow ask Crows to Unite

Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani in his recent thundering address to the National Assembly, exhorted the Crows (Parliamentarians) to Unite.

The Prime Minister said "Even crows get together when adversity strikes", why don't we unite?

How amusing indeed and how ironic too! The request for uniting to ensure Parliament’s supremacy was great, no doubt, but the example was simply a master stroke, for who doesn’t know that crows are the Proverbial Crooks.

It is so unfortunate that for a common Pakistani, the conduct of our so-called leaders, whether during Democracy or Dictatorship, has mostly been similar to that of Crows.
