Chief Minister Khyber-Pakhtunkhuwa Pervaiz Khattak was aware of illegal mining in the province and was notified half a dozen times by Khyber-Pakhtunkhuwa Mining Department... however, Ziaullah Afridi was used as an escape goat.
Khyber-Pakhtunkhuwa Mining Department sent notices to Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak regarding illegal mining in KP on 2nd May 2014, 21st November 2014, 28th February 2015 and 30th March 2015, however, Khattak never took any action.
